For my friend Michelle's birthday celebration, our Taiwanese friends we made here threw a Taiwanese style BBQ.
First we were by the river under a bridge. It's popular between college and high school kids to BBQ by the river and around parks. Our friends marinated meat and bought a lot of veggies to the girls request. We were stuffing our face with this delicious meal until we got kicked out of the area with a threat of a few hundred dollar ticket. That's when we found out BBQ by the river is illegal. Didn't seem like any one cared until the man started ticketing.
One of our friends offered the roof top of his apartment to continue the BBQ. Great view, no bugs, cool breeze, full moon and good company. Couldn't ask for more. We ended up retiring at 3am.
Next day we headed up north of the Taiwan island to a hot springs resort in the mountains.
