THE SOUTH_part I

Off to the SOUTH we go! Kenting, Kaosiung, here we come!

A dangerously spiky nut we bought on the side of the street. We buy strawberries and oranges on the side of the street in Cali. You buy dangerous water nuts and beetle-nuts (substitution for xanax) on the side of the streets in southern Taiwan.

KENITNG :

View from our hotel room was awesome. The basically-private beach was even more awesome. A tunnel from floor B2 of our hotel led right to the private beach. HOW COOL IS THAT.

This was the first time in a LONG time I actually swan in the ocean. The water was so clear that I can see my foot under the water even when I was shoulder deep.

We got to pay a guy to swing us around on the ocean for 5 minutes. My arms were sore for three days after that from holding on for dear life.

We probably went to the night market 3 or 4 times in the 2 days we were there. Green tea soft serve ice cream on a cone, assorted BBQ mushrooms, dumplings, fried squid, and so much more.

The second day in Kenting we went to the National Forest. The deeper we went into the forest, the more unsure I was weather I was walking through a dried up ocean or in the tropical forest. Seashells, volcanic rock mountains that looked like coral, and crabs.

This was a dose of nature and scenery, we went to Kaosiung next. Taiwan's second tallest building, rivers, carnival on the roof of a mall, and more night market.
